Engage: Questions and Answers

October 27, 2018Stephanie WarnerEducation

By Matt Kennedy

Engage is a Good Shepherd apologetic ministry on the Binghamton University Campus for the purpose of both reaching out to non-believing students and for equipping Christian students to defend the faith and to gain greater confidence in their own beliefs. In each hour and a half session Matt Kennedy leads a discussion based on four (sometimes more) questions submitted by students beforehand. This week’s questions were (as quoted): 1.I keep hearing pastors talk about the differences between Christianity and other religions…but at least on the moral front, they teach a lot of the same things. What real lived out or moral differences are there if any between the practicing Christian and someone who faithfully practices another religion? 2.If Satan was in perfect communion with God and there was no sin, why did he turn away? 3.If a child or baby dies before they are old enough to have faith, will they be judged based on what they would have believed, had they lived a full life? 4. Why do some people come to faith quickly, while others have hardened hearts? This seems unfair…
