The Rise and Triumph of the Modern Self: This Sunday we continued our Christian Education series for adults built around Carl Trueman’s book, “The Rise and Triumph of the Modern Self.”
This week we begin to discuss surrealist poetry, film, and painting, which Carl Truman identifies as one of the vehicles through which radical ideologies about the “authentic self” and sexual identity managed to filter down from the academy into popular thought and imagination.
