About Morning Prayer
The service begins with a confession of sin followed by prayers of praise and adoration, a Psalm, and two scripture readings, one from the Old Testament and one from the New Testament, taken from a reading schedule that moves through the entire bible in two years (the same one printed in your bulletin every Sunday morning).
A fairly in depth (given time the constraints) and often lively discussion and question and answer session focused on both the Old and the New Testament readings follows.
Afterwards comes the Apostles Creed, the Lord’s Prayer, and prayers for the Nation, the Church in general, for Good Shepherd and for the needs and desires of those present.
The entire service lasts for thirty minutes. It’s a great way to start the day.
